CURESZ 2025 Mental Health Essay\u00a0 Awards<\/strong><\/p>\n

The CURESZ Foundation is offering two $500 prizes for the two best articles submitted, which are related to serious psychiatric brain disorders like schizophrenia or bipolar disorder.<\/p>\n

The essays should be between 1000-1500 words. The winning articles will be published in CURESZ News, and the authors will have the opportunity to collaborate with our foundation to possibly publish a similar article in a peer reviewed medical\/ scientific journal.<\/p>\n

One award will be offered to an article whose author\u2019s age is 25 or younger, and the other prize will be awarded to an author whose age is older than 25.<\/p>\n

A runner-up in each category will be awarded $250.<\/p>\n

Guidelines:<\/p>\n

Please submit an article with a word count of 1000-1500 words. Topics must be related to serious psychiatric brain disorders (preferrable schizophrenia spectrum disorders and bipolar disorder). We welcome personal stories of overcoming psychiatric brain disorders in yourself or in relatives and friends. Also of interest are articles related to governmental policies, your experience with navigating the system of mental health care in the US or abroad, suicide, homelessness, substance abuse, anosognosia, and other conditions that are associated with schizophrenia and related psychoses.<\/p>\n

You can email submissions to bethany.yeiser@curesz.org or mail them to the CURESZ Foundation.<\/a><\/p>\n

Deadline:<\/p>\n

The essays must be submitted by August 15th of 2025 to the CURESZ foundation.<\/p>\n
