Craig Chepke MD, FAPA

Craig Chepke, MD is a Board-Certified psychiatrist and has been named a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He attended NYU School of Medicine and completed his residency training at Duke University. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Chepke is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychiatry for the University of North Carolina School of Medicine.

Dr. Chepke has special interests in treatment-resistant and severe mental illness, movement disorders, and sleep medicine. His approach is to personalize treatment to each individual person, from the newest leading-edge medications to older underutilized treatments, such as lithium and clozapine. He also strongly emphasizes psychotherapeutic interventions and physical health and wellness through exercise, dietary modification, and supplementation.

The treatment of people living with schizophrenia has always been a priority for Dr. Chepke, and he is a strong advocate of the early use of clozapine and long-acting injectable medications. He is grateful to be able to serve the greater community of people with schizophrenia and their families as a CURESZ board member.
