Vitucci Memorial Lecture October 3, 2022,7pmEST

The CURESZ Foundation welcomes Denna Kelly, Pharm D, to present a virtual lecture in memory of Anthony Vitucci titled:

The Rise of Clozapine: Breaking Barriers and Improving Outcomes. View the lecture here.

This lecture will focus on the inspiring story of clozapine as this “last resort” antipsychotic medication rises as a hopeful first line option in treatment resistant schizophrenia, suicidality in schizophrenia and emerging other uses.  Dr. Kelly will present data for new safety data in Black patients, breaking barriers in blood monitoring and new data bringing great hope and encouraging earlier use of clozapine.

Anthony Vitucci was 23-years-old when he passed. He had his first psychotic episode December of 2014. He was an avid soccer player, loved going to the beach and going fishing as well as working out at the gym. He was kind, caring and would help anyone in need. He was funny and always playing jokes on me (his mom). Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and frequently expressed how grateful he was for the devoted and diligent care we provided for him during his illness.

No fee or donation is required to attend.

Registeration for the 2022 lecture will open in summer, 2022.

The Vitucci lecture has been accredited for 1.5 CME/CEU credits. CE is available for physicians, psychologists (American Psychological Association), counselors and social workers.
